The Real Madrid defender gave his opinion on the scandal that has engulfed the RFEF

Real Madrid and Spain defender Dani Carvajal spoke on Wednesday about the situation that has engulfed the RFEF since the Women's World Cup win.

In line with what his teammates said in the statement read on Monday, Carvajal described Rubiales' behaviour as "unacceptable," although he added that "we cannot condemn without knowing what happened."

"We admit that the president's behaviour was not appropriate but it will have to be the authorities who determine whether Jenni Hermoso is a victim or not; we cannot condemn without knowing what has happened," said Carvajal in an interview with Onda Cero's Radioestadio.

Carvajal also spoke about the statement they made together with the entire national team squad. "We got together on [Monday] afternoon to make a statement that we all agreed on; we can't live on the fringes of society, we have to be an example.

"We cannot take a position or condemn one side or the other beforehand, without really knowing what has happened or what has been stipulated because, as of today, Jenni has not filed a complaint."

While Hermoso has not pressed charges, she has released a statement saying she felt "the victim of an act of aggression" after Rubiales' unsolicited kiss on her after the World Cup final.
