Zinedine Zidane: This was the best game of our season
The French coach was happy with the 2-0 win over Gladbach at the Di Stefano stadium
Real Madrid are through to the Champions League last 16. After losing in Donetsk against Shakhtar it seemed difficult but they did it with a 2-0 win over a dire Gladbach side.
French coach Zinedine Zidane was pleased.
“(I feel) big satisfaction The objective was to finish first and we did it,” Zidane told Movistar. “We played a spectacular game today.
“I think it was our most complete of the season, from minute one to the end we did very well.”
Zidane also said it's not always possible to play well.
"I've been a player and football is like this, it's impossible to always play well. We'll always try, that is what the players want. It's not only under pressure, we've had some good games. I talk about my time here, we've played some good games. This team has it in them. When the difficulty is hard they get excited and that's what we have."
