Andriy Lunin isn't getting the required play time at Real Valladolid and is set to be recalled by Madrid in January

Real Madrid will cancel Andriy Lunin's loan deal with Real Valladolid as the youngster simply isn't playing enough.

Jordi Masip remains Valladolid's first choice stopper and this has seen limited opportunities handed to Lunin. Madrid sent him to the LaLiga side in order to gain valuable minutes in the league but, much like last season's loan to Leganes, it's been a complete disaster.

The Ukranian stopper was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament as Ukraine lifted the U20 World Cup. Madrid thought his performances would attract interest from top sides. Despite that, he's spent the vast majority of the current campaign on the bench and, according to Cadena SER, Lunin will be recalled next month.

His most likely destination is Almeria, who are of course managed by former Madrid player Guti.
