Real Madrid beat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-0 to reach the Champions League last 16.
Karim Benzema got both goals on a good night for the Spanish champions.
"We're on a good path," Benzema told Movistar. The key was "to start well with desire nad working together. We had to have this game to win the match, we scored and we didn't concede.
“It was a good game for us. Each match is a final and I think that if we always play how we did today, no team can hurt us.
“This was a very difficult game, we started it well and with the desire to show that we are the best.”
He didn't care which team Madrid got in the next round.
"To get to the final you have to play the best teams and the final is very far away," added Benzema.
