Spain international Isco still won't commit future to Real Madrid

The midfielder has sent a warning to Zidane and Perez about his contract renewal

Isco is not clear on his future at Real Madrid. With less than 18 months to run on his contract at the club, the player has the dilemma of deciding whether to extend his stay or not.

And speaking after Saturday's win against Espanyol to beIN Sports, the midfielder left his future in the air, suggesting he needs guarantees from his manger, Zinedine Zidane, that he will have an important role to play moving forward.

The former Malaga man said: "I'm calm. What matters to me is to have minutes, because a player's career is short. I am happy here and I would stay for many more years. Between now and the end of the season we will take a decision. It's my future that's in play."

His words come as a warning to Zidane and Florentino Perez, the Madrid president. Isco is not ready to extend his stay based on a blank check -- he has made it clear he will decide based on his role until the end of the campaign.

If he does not get the minutes he wants, it's clear he could look to move. That's the clear warning.

Isco was one of the stars in the win against Espanyol. He set up the first goal for Alvaro Morata and the second for Gareth Bale, who scored on his return to competitive football.
