How sad to end a season in this way, with just one title when a fortnight ago we were dreaming of a treble.

With a full-back on the wing (Sergi Roberto), a winger on the bench (Malcom), the centre-forward in the stands (Suarez) after he was operated on to arrive on time for the Copa America, with a player (Coutinho) that people are screaming for to leave, with a left-back (Alba) that plays only for Messi, with three midfielders (Busquets, Arthur and Rakitic) who have to listen to Pique screaming at them ("We all run back"), we can see how the solidarity and the ambition of the team has changed.

Now they aren't dying to win.

Barcelona were at a funeral but we didn't know who was being buried.

The coach? A veteran side? Those who make the signings? The signings?

The first half was similar to Anfield but in the second they played a bit better, tried the comeback but had little apart from what Leo Messi offered. Summer will be interesting in the offices, as a team is redesigned to be able to win the Champions League and end up with the budget balanced, with many players singled out for criticism like their coach.
