Real Madrid have won La Liga already (or... not?)

Don't look at the standings, Barca fans. There is no need to do so. Real Madrid lead the table with seven points less than Barça. That's the way it is. These people are so good, they know they are so powerful, so chosen, so supremely superior, that they have already won La Liga. What happened last matchday is the best proof of that.

Real Madrid hosted Atlético at the Bernabeu eight points behind first place, which, although it may not seem like it, is still Barça's, and, when the match ended, they were seven points behind. The disaster, the goodbye to the competition, the "this is already decided", was rife in a Madrid environment that was more volatile in defeat than the future of PSG. We had to focus on the Champions League, "that's our competition and we're the fucking masters there hahahaha", they said, rhythmically beating their chests with their fists in a very masculine (or not) way.

That happened on a Saturday and, a day later, white bipolarism made an appearance when Xavi shook Rubi's hand and said: "Felicitats, crack". Believe it or not, nothing had changed, at least as far as the mathematics were concerned, at Real Madrid. When the Barça game was over, they were still seven points behind, as they were the night before. They had shaved a point off from a week ago, though.

That, it seems, is a turning point that makes the team coached by good old Carletto, a gentleman when he feels like it (which is not always), the favourites to win the title, to defend it a year after winning against a Barça side half managed by Koeman and half Xavi.

If only Barça had one per cent of the self-esteem that Madridismo has, who see themselves as champions while, six hundred kilometres away, and despite maintaining a huge lead, Barca are already beginning to show their emotional shortcomings. It is good that this is the case because, now, the time has come for Xavi's Barça to grow up. Until now, he has been pampered with condescension, more or less, thinking about the future and not the present, looking more at where he comes from than where he is. This, now, is going to change. It is the first time that this project is at the top, with a certain advantage over its main pursuer. It is time to show that this is no joke, that it feels strong. It's time to hold on, no matter how loud the Madridista loudspeakers are. Being the chaser is much easier, even more comfortable, than being the persecuted, but the spectator only remembers who gets to the ribbon first. Barça will truly be back when they know how to withstand the pressure.
