Barça have conquered (are on the verge of conquering) La Liga with an overwhelming superiority over the rest of their rivals. They have won 26 of the 33 matches played so far and, with five games to go, they are 13 points ahead of Atlético and 14 ahead of Madrid. This gap is no coincidence. It is the result of the solvency shown by the team throughout the tournament. They have only lost three games. And they have only conceded 11 goals, with 25 clean sheets. A record that makes them deserved champions. La Liga is the competition that coaches value the most because it is the one that truly measures performance throughout the season. Xavi, precisely, claims the importance of this title because it is the one that gives credibility to the project and stability to the club. Although, of course, it does not have the media importance or the glamour of the Champions League. Curiously (or not), this Barça that has shone in La Liga has failed doubly in Europe. And also in the Cup. Because the short tournaments and knockout tournaments have been difficult for them. Quite the opposite of Madrid, who have specialised in this type of competition. Los Blancos have long prioritised the Champions League. With very good results by the way: they have triumphed in 5 of the last 9 editions. Three in a row. And this year they have also decided to go for the Cup. And, of course, they have also achieved victory.

The final in Seville between Madrid and Osasuna was over almost as soon as it started. What it took Rodrygo to score the 1-0 after Vinicius' first play on the wing. Exactly 107 seconds. And the fact is that Madrid play finals to win them. In fact, they have won 18 of the last 20 they have played, including this Saturday's final. Only two defeats: the 2018 European Super Cup against Atlético and the Spanish Super Cup last January against Barça. This efficiency is part of the Los Blancos DNA. A team that grows in decisive matches. That knows how to impose itself. And that always takes its chances. As they did against the Navarrese: two brilliant moves from Vinicius and two goals that sealed the game. Osasuna gave their all (they came close to tying the game) but could do nothing against the talent of the Brazilian, who is as good a footballer as he is a provocateur and a protestor. But thanks to his magic, his devilish speed, his unstoppable dribbling, Madrid won the Copa and added another pot to their trophy cabinet.
