Philippe Coutinho cannot continue at Barca another season

Coutinho was one of those signings, desired, chased and almost with the aroma of a soap opera. In addition, the Brazilian could not be signed at the first attempt and had to wait until the winter market of 2018 to come to the club. Let's remember that he is still the most expensive signing in history with his initial 120 million plus 40 in variables, a giant figure with a miniscule level of performance.

The problem of ‘Cou’ has stemmed from this, he has never been seen fully integrated into the team's game, nor participative play. For a time, the former Liverpool player shone individually and used his own talents to score some goals but then, lost between midfield and the wing, he failed to convince anyone with his game and was diluted.

Two seasons ago he went to Munich on ‘Erasmus’ and with Bayern he not only won the German Cup, the league and the Champions League, but of the ten goals he scored for the Bavarian team, two were against Barça in that fateful 8-2 in the Champions League. Despite playing around half the minutes available in the season at Bayern and adding goals and assists, he did not convince them either, and the German club made no gesture to extend his loan, so last season Coutinho returned to Barça.

He started the season without shining and was broken in December. injured for the entire season, so a transfer seems mission impossible and another loan the only solution that can be seen on the horizon. To get a club to welcome him for another season, Coutinho would have to lower the salary that he receives and thus ensure that the destination club can afford it, helping Barca lower their salary bill somewhat.

Coutinho's departure is the best thing for Barça and for the player himself. In Italy he has some interest in him and if he agrees to lower his wage, surely other teams will appear. May he have a nice life, but at Barca he has no place.
