Looking over the history books at Barça, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez made their debut at the club 10 years a part. The Argentine star stepped out for the first team on the 16th October 2004 in the derby against Espanyol. The Uruguayan striker made his debut on the 25th October 2014 in a Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu. A decade separates the pair's debuts but you won't find two players in the Camp Nou dressing room that are better friends than Messi and Suarez. They are teammates on the pitch and like brothers off it. That connection continues to shine and they have now formed the best 'duo' in Europe: they've scored a total of 66 goals (43 for Messi, 23 for Suarez) and 32 assists (21 and 11).

They are ahead of any other double act for teams in the quarter finals of the Champions League (the second best is Salah and Mane with 35). They also eclipse PSG's Mbappe and Cavani (44).

Barça's success largely depends on Messi and Suarez's goals. This season for example, the pair have won 21 matches for the team. It's a brutal stat which shows this duo is unrivalled in the history of Barça. They've been playing together for five years now and each of those season's have been crucial to the success of the team during that time. Now the objective is to regain their place as the best in Europe. Barça have won eight of the last eleven LaLigas meaning they can't be questioned as the best in Spain. On Wednesday, against Manchester United at Old Trafford, the number one partnership in Europe will not fail.
