Barça kicked off their Montjuïc era with a thrashing of Spurs at the Gamper. The match was on the verge of becoming inconsequential midway through the second half. Both teams had slowed down a little and Barça were 2-1 down after Lewandowski's early goal.

But little did the 35,224 spectators at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys expect that everything would change. The 80th minute arrived and Lamine Yamal entered the field. Every minute with him on the pitch became a world of its own for Tottenham, every change of pace, attempted breakaway or pass from the youngster born in Esplugues de Llobregat was a shattering of the English team's lines.

Ousmane Dembélé was absent yesterday, Mateu Alemany said he is already in France to sign everything and has been spared the trouble of being judged by the fans at the team's presentation.

We're going to be opportunistic, advantageous and whatever else you want, but if Dembélé's departure means that Lamine Yamal can get more minutes and become the master of the right flank, then the Frenchman's departure is welcome.

Lamine Yamal's display at the Gamper, assisting Ferran Torres and playing a part in Ansu and Abde's goals, is just the confirmation of what we saw start last season, a revolution in Barça's attack.

It will be hard for Xavi to make the fans not demand to see him so much after his stunning exhibition, but we must trust in the management of the coach, so that the progression continues unstoppable. Some have been reminded of Messi's Gamper against Juve, these things must be said very quietly, but the hope inside is understandably very big. What awaits us with Lamine, only time will tell.
