There's a sensation that Barcelona are in too much of a rush to sign player. It's evident that Neymar's exit has added an additional pressure for those who make the decisions and working in these conditions is not easy. Everyone in the market knows that Barça have a huge amount of money to spend and they're waiting for them. And the club know it. For that eason, the club are dedicating themselves to closing deals for player that won't be as 'media' worthy but are necessary. Iñigo Martinez has a price closed due to his buyout clause and Paulinho looks more likely now than a few days ago.

With these operations advanced, Barça must sign at least one star, too. And they will do, but it could be counter-productive to sign a second. There are no megastars available on the market. Prices are skyrocketing and there's the danger that Barça will sign players who will not be able to live up to the price tags.

Someone who does not fit in that category is Coutinho, a player who could cost 100 million euros, but has already proven himself throughout his career. He can play at the top level and he's not daunted by the challenge at Barça. The other options are not as established at the top level or are very similar to the Brazilian. The question is: why not wait until January? Then, Atletico may be willing to sell Griezmann, while the price of Monaco's Mbappe may be different. And from then on is when the football really begins to matter. Barça need to stay calm and not be affected by external pressure.
