La emocionante narración del gol de Yerry Mina que mete a Colombia en octavos  / | sport.es

An unexpected happiness. A few weeks ago, Yerry Mina was seen by Barcelona as a small problem and he's now presented them with an incredible opportunity. Perhaps the club moved too quickly when they brought forward his transfer in January following Mascherano's exit. Mina arrived, fit but his adaptation was impossible. So much so that the Colombia didn't perform as well as expected and the club was advised to sell him this summer. Barcelona have always remained calm about the situation and that, at worst, they would recoup the €13m they spent to bring him to the club. They decided to sell him this summer in order to free up a non-EU space for Arthur.

At Barcelona they were being showered with phone calls asking about Mina's situation, asking about his price as well as the option to take him on loan. The club remained calm, they wanted to wait for the World Cup - and they were right to do so. Mina's value has shot up over the course of the group stages. His two goals have been key in Colombia qualifying and that makes him worth his weight in gold for Barcelona. Now the club are in a strong position when it comes to negotiating the exit of a player who never convinced at the Camp Nou. It looks as if Mina will end up in the Premier League for a higher than expected fee. It's important to keep an eye on things over the next few days. One player who couldn't add value to his name is Cillessen as Holland failed to qualify for the tournament. However the keeper doesn't need to increase his value because everyone saw his worth at Barcelona last season.

The Dutch stopper is a goalkeeper of the highest level but he doesn't play that often because he's behind one of the best in the world. His signing was another positive but his wish to leave, understandable too. The greatest professionals want to play and aren't satisfied with being a reserve option in the squad. Cillessen has objectives he wants to achieve and Barça, if they receive a good offer, will have no choice but to open the door for him. The keeper has been a model pro and deserves to be respected. This in stark contrast to Claudio Bravo's exit. Mina and Cillessen, two transfers on the horizon for Barcelona.
