Barça deserve to be allowed to fight for La Liga

Barcelona will not win this league. They won’t be able to pull off an historic comeback. Because Madrid have to be champions. By decree. Seeing what we saw at Balaidos, the title is over. Barcelona can win all their games but can’t catch Madrid who, based on invented penalties, win unjustly. I feel for Laporta and his optimistic messages. La Liga is over. Barcelona will have to settle for second place. That’s not little, knowing where we came from. But in the end it will feel like little because Xavi’s great play deserves more. They deserve not to have their chances dashed by scandalous refereeing decisions in favour of Madrid.

Madrid and their followers were scared by the 4-0. Until referee Gonzalez Fuertes gave them not a hand, but three. Barcelona have to keep going though, to show their recovery is a fact. And not to win this league, but to become clear favourites for the next. Like they did against Sevilla.

They played a great, intense game. Fitting of two great teams. But it fell Barça’s way because of the talented kid they call Pedri. He scored with a Messi like action. His level is stratospheric.
