Jorge Vilda: "Spain team believed in themselves and we are world champions"

Spain coach Jorge Vilda said after the World Cup final victory that "it is difficult to describe", that it is an "immense joy" and that he is "immensely proud" of his players.

"I am proud of this team, very happy for all the people who are following us, that we have made them happy. We have shown that we know how to suffer, this team has believed and we are world champions," he said.

"As soon as the referee blew the whistle I could see my daughter and my wife, my son and my parents are at home and I am very happy for everyone. Now we tell the country to celebrate, I imagine how Spain is right now, we are going to celebrate here and I don't know how it will end!" he told RTVE.
