Jenni Hermoso: It's the best feeling in football... we're f*****g world champions!
The former Barcelona forward was emotional after making history in Sydney
Jennifer Hermoso, striker of the Spanish national football team and world champion, said after winning the final against England (1-0) that it "is the best feeling" she has "experienced in football" in her life.
Jorge Vilda's team won the trophy for the first time in their history and will go down in the history of Spanish sport.
It was not an easy match for Hermoso. She had the chance to make it 2-0 from the penalty spot but missed her chance, Mary Earps making the save. All that is now in the past.
"We had been trying to imagine it for many days, we are not aware that we are world champions, it's tremendous," confessed Hermoso in statements to RTVE.
