Tebas not moving Liga dates despite Barca clash
La Liga's president doesn't care about Barcelona's summer plans
Javier Tebas has no intention of moving La Liga fixtures for Barca and Sevilla, so the the Spanish Super Cup dates, set for August 5 and 12, can be moved.
The problem for Barcelona is that on August 4 they have scheduled a pre-season game in San Francisco.
"But what tournament are they playing in?" asked Tebas. "An official one? Until today I always believed the official competitions were the most important. I'm willing to talk about everything, but not the mobility of La Liga. La Liga has to be sacred and it's not a Kleenex.
"La Liga can't be a kleenex and move around, 'oh now I feel like moving the first two games', no, that can't be. It's very complex but it is what it is. In the calendar we have the 5th and the 12th. The important thing is guaranteeing our competition."
