They won the Copa del la Reina against Levante on Sunday at Butarque
Barcelona Femeni are unstoppable. They wanted the Copa de la Reina. They wanted the first treble in their history. And they did it. With different halves, they showed they could thrive and also knew how to suffer. Lluis Cortes’s side have made their mark in the club’s history.
Alexia’s double and goals from Patri Guijarro and Torrejon for Barca were enough to earn victory, with Alba Redondo and Banini on target for Levante.
Barca went out at Butarque trying to dominate and they quickly managed it with Guijarro sending them ahead after five minutes from Lieke Martens’ corner. A blow for Levante and more gas in the tank for Barca. They shut the Valencians back in their own half and got the second from Alexia, after another Lieke cross.
Torreón made it three, again set up by Lieke, leaving Barca well in front at the break.
Levante struck twice to make a game of it but Barca survived and Alexia grabbed another with 18 minutes to go to make it safe.
