Jonathan Giraldez's side were in total control from the first minute

Barça Femení marked their first ever Joan Gamper fixture - the first of many - with a truly dominant display against Juventus. Jonathan Giráldez's side are a real joy to watch, managing to keep 'The Old Lady' at an arm's length for the duration of this evening's tie. The head coach selected his strongest possible side and the result was simply incredible. Given we are only in pre-season and that there is much more to come from this group of players, there may be many more trophies just around the corner.

Barça came out of the blocks fast, refusing to let Juventus settle into the game. The game was practically over after just three minutes, thanks to a series of quick combinations and a demonstration of incisive passing. The first goal came following a cross from Alexia, which was finished off with a right-footed finish across goal by Aitana, who became Barça Femení's first ever goalscorer in a 'Gamper' fixture. Less than a minute later, Caroline Graham Hansen reached the byline and pulled the ball back for Jenni Hermoso to finish off. Barça found themselves 2-0 up just minutes after kicking off, putting the game beyond the reach of their Italian counterparts.

Paredes makes her debut

Irene Paredes had a debut to remember, getting on the scoresheet in this prestigious fixture. After a corner was swung in from the left-hand side, Paredes managed to lose her marker and send a sweet left-footed finish past the Juventus 'keeper. 3-0 up after just 12 minutes. And they weren't done yet.

Four minutes later, Jenni Hermoso bagged her second of the game following another Aitana assist. They were able to do as they pleased with the Juventus defence, who were unable to get anywhere near Barça's attackers.

Barça found themselves 5-0 up when Hansen finished off an individual move, firing the ball through the legs of the unfortunate Peyraud-Magnin.

Bruna: scoring off the bench

Juventus' goalkeeper helped to keep the scoreline respectable, although it must be said that Barça had taken their foot off the gas by the end of the first half. Following the break, it was more of the same. Barça goalkeeper Gemma was brought for the second '45', with Bruna Vilamala replacing the injured Aitana. The latter demonstrated her quality by intercepting a wayward pass by Peyraud-Magnin and sending a lofted left-footed finish over the wayward goalkeeper into an empty net.

Jennifer Hermoso: Player of the Match

Before the final whistle blew, a beautiful one-two between Jenni Hermoso and Patri deserved a goal. After running out 6-0 victors, captain Alexia Putellas lifted the side's first ever Gamper trophy. Jenner Hermoso, meanwhile, picked up the Estrella Trophy for player of the match.
