Setien: This Clasico is more important for Real Madrid than Barcelona

The coach looked to put the pressure on Zidane's side ahead of Sunday's crunch clash

Quique Setien knows what it takes to win at the Santiago Bernabeu. He has done it two occasions as Real Betis coach. He also drew their as boss of Las Palmas. His only defeat there came with the Canary Islanders. This will be his first visit with Barcelona.

"You're never relaxed when you go to the Bernabeu even if you've won their twice before, but the truth is that it would mean so much to win this Clasico, my first as a Barça coach, and to continue the excellent runs the club and I have there," Setien said in a press conference.

"But one thing is the excitement and reality is another thing. It can complicate things. I am a moderate, cautious person so until it happens, I will not celebrate anything or get carried away."

Barça go into the Clasico two points clear of Real Madrid despite being six points behind when they kicked off against Real Betis earlier in February. Given the swing in circumstances and the fact the Catalans could open up a five-point lead at the top, Setien says the pressure is on Zinedine Zidane and his players.

"For Madrid, this is a vital game," he added. "It is much more important for them than for us in terms if the situation in the table. It is a key game for them, maybe not decisive, but really important.

"It could be an important day for us because a win extends our advantage, although I don't know if [five points] would be enough at this stage."
