The four Spanish sides could be drawn against some of the toughest teams from around Europe in the group stage

Now that all the teams and which pot they'll respectively be in is known, it's time to see what possible 'group of death' scenarios could appear. The draw will take place at 18:00 (CET) in Monaco.

What is true is the draw could throw out some tough fixtures straight away. The four Spanish sides: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid and Valencia could all be handed a difficult start if they aren't lucky.

THREE LALIGA SIDES COULD BE IN THE 'GROUP OF DEATH'

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atlético are all in Pot 1. This pot is made up of the champions from the top five leagues in Europe, the current Champions League holders and the team which won last season's Europa League. The other names in this pot are PSG, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester City and Lokomotiv Moscow.

Manchester United, Dortmund, Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur are the toughest teams in Pot 2. Benfica qualifying for the group stage has pushed Liverpool, runners up last season, into Pot 3 and Inter Milan are in Pot 4.

With three Spanish sides in Pot 1 they could end up with a group of death such alongside Dortmund, Liverpool and Inter.

valencia are the most likely to get a tough draw

As for Valencia, they too could be part of the group of death. They'll obviously avoid the three other LaLiga sides but, aside from Lokomotiv, the rest of the clubs in Pot 1 will prove a tough test for Marcelino's men.

Valencia could be drawn against PSG or Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Inter. Something I've sure the fans at Mestalla would prefer to avoid.

Another potential group is Manchester City, Dortmund, Valencia and Inter.

a group without any spanish sides

There's also the chance that one of the groups could contain no LaLiga sides at all. If we consider Inter as the most difficult team to be drawn against in Pot 4, it could create a group which includes PSG, Dortmund, Liverpool and Inter.
