The Brazilian loves a knockout game against a Premier League side

Real Madrid went into half-time in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals with a 1-0 lead against Manchester City. The goal was scored by Vinicius, who is in a very sweet moment of form.

The Brazilian forward boasts a surprising statistic, as reported by @MisterChip. He has scored seven goals in knockout matches in the Champions League, two in the round of 16, two in the quarter-finals, two in the semi-finals and one in the final.

And, as a curiosity, all of them have been against English teams: Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Vinicius is a determining factor for Carlo Ancelotti's side in Europe's top competition. In his last 11 starts, he has scored eight goals and provided five assists.

With the goal he scored against Pep Guardiola's side, he has now scored 15 goals in the Champions League, the same number as Ronaldo Nazario and the same number as his compatriot Rodrygo.

However, his goal did not lead to a win on Tuesday, with Kevin de Bruyne equalising to leave the tie balanced at 1-1 heading into next week's second leg in Manchester.
