The Daily Mail say the future Barcelona boss wants to bring the City winger to Catalonia

Xavi Hernandez is preparing in Qatar to one day become Barcelona coach, a dream he doesn’t hide. He’s in no hurry and wants arrive with experience and adequate knowledge. However in England they are already pointing out transfer targets he wants.

The Daily Mail say that Xavi wants to bring Raheem Sterling to Barcelona from Manchester City, despite his high cost - £150 million, which is 169 million euros.

The tabloid says that Xavi sees Sterling as the ideal player to work with at Barcelona, even though he signed a new contract last month until 2023.

They claim that Xavi thinks that Sterling, 24, will become the next player to mark an era, like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo did this one.

Sterling has also been linked to Real Madrid, who looked into signing him this summer, with general director Jose Angel Sanchez speaking to the player’s agent.
