Xavi is the first player to back presidential candidate Víctor Font
The business man from Granollers announced this Monday that he would be presenting himself as a candidate at the 2021 Barcelona presidential elections
Xavi Hernández, the Barcelona legend who currently plays in Qatar, has become the first person to back Victor Font. This Monday the Granollers businessman announced he would put himself forward as a candidate for the 2021 FC Barcelona elections.
Xavi 'liked' the presentation video which Font posted on Instagram. One of the pillars of the project is 'Yes, to the future' which was revealed on Font's website. The plan is to bring back "the best generation of footballers in Barcelona's history" and for them to run the sporting side of the things at the club.
In that list of former players is, of course, Xavi Hernandez, who gave his thumbs up with a 'like'. It's worth remembering that Xavi recently passed his coaching badges and that his dream is to one day manage Barcelona.
