Xavi Hernandez replies to Cristiano Ronaldo's Ballon d'Or jibe

The midfielder says he has not changed his mind despite Cristiano Ronaldo's angry and rude remarks

Xavi Hernandez spoke about the controversy he was involved in with Cristiano Ronaldo, when the Portuguese player insulted him for saying Ronaldo's problem was playing at the same time as Messi.

Xavi was asked about what Ronaldo said. "I saw that he didn't take it well, but I keep thinking the same. What he said to me about the Ballon d'Ors is true [that Xavi hasn't won one]. I didn't lack respect, but my opinion doesn't change. He lacked it for me? What do you think?"

Regarding the next Ballon d'Or, he said: "If titles rule, Cristiano will be favourite, but he will be fighting for it with Messi."

He also spoke about Ter Stegen, saying: "Barcelona take many risks, that's their game. Sometimes the goalkeeper isn't valued, we don't defend his quality. An error of his is highlighted more. To Ter Stegen I would say be valient, be daring, that's what Barcelona's football is. And he's doing that."
