Xavi Hernandez: Barcelona don't need a player like me

The midfielder also spoke about when he plans to continue playing until in Qatar

From a distance, with perspective, things look better. That's how Xavi Hernandez analyses the current situation at Barcelona.

The Al Sadd player was visiting his former teammates at their hotel in Doha when he didn't want to set off alarms about Barça slipping six points behind Real Madrid.

Xavi is convinced that the team will win titles, per an interview with Quim Robert for TV3.

The player reiterated his idea, too, that he wants to become a manager, but he added that he "still must prepare myself much better, I don't even have the right coaching badges.

"My desire is to form part of something at Barcelona. For the moment, I have some teachers such as Felix Sanchez and Oscar Cano who are working with me here.^"

VISION FOR BARÇA

Despite Barça's recent performances, Xavi is optimistic regarding the future.

He said: "They didn't play well [at Anoeta] and Madrid got a draw at the end against us. In Pamplona it was a better performance and there's still time to make up the six points.

"The titles will come. We're not on a bad path. There are three monsters up front who condition the team's play. Barça don't miss a player like me because there are many with Barça DNA.

"Barça are true to their style. They've won a lot of titles and they will continue winning titles.

"Here, in Qatar, they talk about if Barça win or lose, but about how they play. We don't have to change anything because it's gone well and it will continue to go well."

HIS MOMENT IN QATAR

Xavi has completed his second season in Qatar where you can see that he is happy.

"This year we have a better team than last year," he said, before reflecting on how long he has left in the game.

"I don't know when I will continue playing until, but I feel good. I'm about to turn 37, but I will play until I can. At least one more year."
