The centre-back was presented on Friday ahead of his big moment

It was a busy morning for Jean-Clair Todibo. After passing is medical with Barcelona, he signed his contract alongside president Josep Maria Bartomeu and vice president Jordi Mestre. Dressed in a tie, his age was obvious (he's just turned 19) as he stepped on to the Camp Nou pitch for the first team.

The defender, born in Guayana, took selfies with fans and greeted the media. He also gifted a shirt to one supporter.

DESIRE

The French youngster was accompanied on the day by his family. His agents Simon Festinesi and Bruno Satin were also there. His mother Claire and his siblings Maëlys and Loïc didn't want to miss the day as their brother held up the No.6 shirt which he's been given.

It's a shirt number with a certain weight but Todibo knows that: "I know what it means for Catalans because of Xavi and I hope to live up to it."

Once he'd spoken in a press conference, he rested.

SPORT have learned that what the player's most been looking forward to was his first training session with his new teammates. Jean-Clair is desperate to share a dressing room with Lionel Messi and Co. and to learn from them.

It's for that reason that after an intense morning, he went for a rest to prepare for the big moment. He rested until the moment arrived which he'd been waiting for since his signing was confirmed on Jan. 8.  It was then that he confessed to SPORT that he wanted to play for Barça NOW and to leave the difficult situation at Toulouse behind.
