The week of Xavi Hernandez at Barcelona... and Ousmane Dembele

| sport

It's another big week at Camp Nou with a new coach and a 'new signing' (again!)

As is to be expected, Xavi Hernandez has been on all the front covers in recent days. And, if everything goes as it should, that will only increase this week. On Wednesday, he takes charge of his final game of Al Sadd and from there everything should speed up. On Thursday, the announcement will be made official. He will probably travel to Barcelona on the same day. It's the plan we now all have written into our minds after reading it time and again.

The former Barça midfielder will fulfil his dream and take on the revolution at Barça. where there's a sporting and social crisis. Xavi will be in charge of winning supporters back round who are now disconnected from the team. You only have to see the ticket sales this season. That will start from restoring the essence of the team, with the ball as the base for that, as Xavi prepares for one of the most important weeks of his life.

Dembele

But there's another name who could have a big week. After almost four months injured, for the umpteenth time at Barça, Ousmane Dembele is back on the scene. That is important for many reasons. The first (and maybe most important) is that he has still not renewed his contract and the club's patience is running out. Despite that, they have not decided to send him to the stands yet and he has travelled for the first time this season for Tuesday's game at Dynamo Kyiv.

In the current situation, with so many injuries and problems in attack, Dembele's return provides a breath of fresh air. Without Aguero or Braithwaite, Barça are short. Dembele's unpredictability and ability to take players on could be important. Let's see if he debuts for the 21-22 campaign in Kyiv, but if not he could come into the thinking for Celta Vigo on Saturday.
