Valverde prefers Arthur over Dembele for the match against Tottenham
The coach has decided to put the Brazilian in his midfield ahead of Arturo Vidal and Dembele drops to the bench
Ernesto Valverde has picked Arthur to slot into central midfield for Barcelona's match against Tottenham this evening. He'll sit alongside Rakitic and Busquets with Coutinho's role uncertain, as he could be part of a midfield four or play further forward alongside Messi and Suarez.
Arthur has played in three LaLiga matches against Alaves, Huesca and Girona and just seven minutes against PSV in the Champions League. He did start the Spanish Super Cup match against Sevilla though.
Barça's lineup for the Wembley clash sees Ter Stegen in goal; Semedo, Pique, Lenglet and Alba in a back four; Busquets, Arthur, Rakitic and Coutinho in midfield - although Coutinho could play in attack if the system is more of a 4-3-3, leaving Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi in attack.
On the bench: Cillessen, Denis, Rafinha, Arturo Vidal, Dembélé and Vermaelen.
