The striker hopes to make the move to Camp Nou in January

Edinson Cavani is one of the players Barcelona are exploring signing in January, especially after the enforced retirement of Sergio Aguero due to a heart condition.

Ferran Torres is the club's priority, but the sporting directorate are also pursuing other options in case a deal can't be struck with Manchester City due to the financial struggles at Camp Nou.

According to TyC Sports, Cavani's already decided to join Barça next month. The Manchester United striker, who has a contract until 2022, has received offers from other clubs, but has turned them down, citing Barça as the reason.

The latest to move for The Uruguay international is Boca Juniors, but the answer was clear: he's waiting for Barcelona.

Cavani, 34, has only played 274 minutes this season across eight games, scoring one goal. Injury problems have prevented him from playing more often for United.

Despite that, Barça feel he's a good 'low cost' option to boos the attack in the second half of the season.
