The three positions Barcelona want to reinforce... and a potential fourth
The club want a full-back, a centre-back and a central midfielder
They will also sign a forward, depending on what the market is like
Barcelona are working on their project for next season. Robert Fernandez and Josep Maria Bartomeu are the duo who are in charge of deciding who comes and who goes. Barcelona's sporting director has taken the decision to make three signings ths summer and a fourth may come depending on the market.
The first decision and most important isn't a player, but the new coach to replace the departing Luis Enrique.
Despite the coach presumably not being announced until after the Copa del Rey final, the club are working to reinforce the side. That is where they are considering three players. A right-back that would allow Sergi Roberto to return to the centre of the pitch, a strong centre-back option and a midfielder who could end up being the substitute for Andres Iniesta.
Three signings that could end up costing a lot, especially in midfield. Then there is a fourth option, signing a forward. In theory this could be Deulofeu but the decision is not yet taken.
