Barcelona have a test of fire against Juventus in Turin in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Blaugrana, who lead the way in La Liga and in their Champions League group, must show against the Italians that their run of form is not down to luck or weak opposition.
In addition, Barça are still looking to avenge their European elimination to Juve last season -- although they did win the meeting between the two sides in September at Camp Nou 3-0.
What's more, Valverde's decided to leave Lionel Messi on the bench for the game at the Juventus Stadium.
Jordi Alba has also been rested, with Lucas Digne taking his place. There are also starts for Paulinho and Gerard Deulofeu.
