Six days of holidays after the Clasico for Barcelona stars
The Copa tie against Celta Vigo means the team have to return quicker than they would hope
Barcelona's squad will see off 2017 with one of the most eagerly awaited matches of the year, a Clasico at the Bernabeu on Saturday.
After this game Ernesto Valverde has given his players Christmas holidays. SPORT have learned they will be short - six days - because of the testing Copa del Rey matches against Celta Vigo early in January.
They will be off from Sunday 24, up until Saturday 30th. The South American players will be given extra time as they have further to go, to go home - Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Javier Mascherano. They will come back on January 2.
Neither Paulinho nor Rafinha are expected to go to Brazil so they will be back on December 30 like the others.
