"Since I left, Barça have not won another Champions League"
Freixa, who's running for the Barça presidenct, spoke to 'El Transistor'
Toni Freixa hopes to be the next FC Barcelona president. He was interviewed by El transistor on Ondar Cero on Thursday and spoke about the situation at the club.
"I am not giving myself a medal but since I left (the board), Barcelona have not won another Champions League," Freixa said. "Although they did not win it because I was there, obviously."
Freixa added that "I think that some of the mistakes Bartomeu made were because he acted in a very presidential manner, without counting on the board of directors."
Of the candidates running for the presidency, Freixa's been the closest linked to the former board.
He said: "If they call me the continuist candidate it is because I have respected the board since the socios chose them in 2015. I was not in favour of the vote of no confidence. Barça need more stability than in recent times."
