The midfielder was happy as Barça made it eight wins in a row

After beating Sporting, they are now the outright leaders in Group D

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets spoke about his side's narrow 1-0 win over Sporting Club in Lisbon. Speaking to beIN Sports, he said that it was important to know how to suffer in order to get the points away from Camp Nou.

DIFFICULT GAME

"To be honest, we knew it was going to be difficult. Sporting have proven they're a good team and it's difficult to come to their stadium. We were better, we had control of the game and the better chances, but we had a little fortune with the goal. After, we had to suffer, given we were a little imprecise, but even so we were able to take advantage of the goal. It was a really important victory," Busquets said.

GROUP LEADERS

Barça now lead Group D outright, with Juventus and Sporting three points behind them, which was something worth highlighting for Busquets: "It's the fairest result it could have been. We've kept a clean sheet and obtained a good win. It's takes us to the top of the group on out are own and now we have two games against Olympiakos to strengthen out position."

GOOD FORM

Busquets now hopes the eight-game winning run continues: "I hope it continues and it doesn't end. We know that we have a great team, but you have to work hard to win games. What happened a month ago [against Real Madrid] is forgotten and now it's about trying to be a batter team every day, to enjoy ourselves and hopefully many more wins come."
