The striker will once again draw interest in the winter transfer window

Robert Lewandowski joined FC Barcelona last season from Bayern Munich. After 12 seasons in the Bundesliga, the striker was given the opportunity to start a new stage in his professional career and he did not hesitate to accept the challenge of being one of the leaders of the Blaugrana resurgence.

However, Saudi Arabia has tried to prise him away. The Asian country approached the Polish striker's entourage on several occasions in a bid to sign him this summer, but to no avail.

The answer to all these attempts was the same: "No". Robert has always been very clear that his place is in Barcelona and has rejected any possibility of starting a football project away from the Catalan capital, where he is involved in the team and adapted to his new city.

Although the market in Saudi Arabia closed on 7 September, according to TV3, the Saudi sides do not consider him lost and want to try to convince Lewandowski again in the next transfer window.

Xavi Hernandez has always highlighted his involvement in the sporting project, but also off the pitch. The player brings much more than goals to the team and has become essential for the famous 'new era'.

The same was true for Kevin de Bruyne and Manchester City, as well as Alaba and Real Madrid, who never considered a move to Saudi Arabia as an option. Both the Belgian and the Austrian have only ever thought about the Citizens and Real Madrid, respectively.
