The French defender is feeling like a real player again and the Catalans could cash in

Samuel Umtiti is feeling like a footballer again in Italy. The FC Barcelona centre-back, on loan at Lecce, has been a key player in Marco Baroni's side, especially since the start of 2023.

The Frenchman has started ten of the last twelve games for Lecce. In fact, in this new year he has played the full ninety minutes in all but one game (substituted in the 75th minute). And he has become one of Serie A's sensations.

His last great performance was against Roma (1-1). Umtiti was the best rated player against Lecce, with 30 accurate passes, 62 touches, 14 duels won and two interceptions. And Barça are already rubbing their hands together.
