Ronald Koeman asks for more signings in attack and midfield
The Barca coach would like two more players if the club can manage it
Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman knows the club’s economic situation is bad but he wants another forward and a midfielder to complete his squad.
“I’d like another forward above all, and perhaps a midfielder,” said Koeman. “We all know the situation with financial fair play, and it’s complicated, but if it’s possible I’d like another signing.”
Lionel Messi has left for PSG and the coach pointed to various injured players.
“We can’t count on Ansu, Aguero, Dembele and Coutinho because of injury, four important players and when they are fit they will give us a lot. We have different forwards, but it would be good if we had a goalscorer, it all depends on who we can sign.”
Barca have until the end of August to find a way of fulfilling Koeman’s wishes.
