Barça's former sporting director has spoken to beIN Sports

Former Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez has spoken to beIN Sports in an interview which will be screened on Friday.

In the interview, Robert looks back on the summer when Neymar left for Paris Saint-Germain, which forced Barça to move for Ousmane Dembele and, eventually, in January, Philippe Coutinho.

"We burned all our bridges with Neymar's exit," he said. "If we'd not been calm, we would have made a lot of errors because we would have made in adequate signings.

"We had to go to the market and we were obliged to pay more than we would have liked, but we signed two really good players in Coutinho and Dembele."

On Dembele, Robert revealed: "Talking about the signing of Ousmane, I knew everything. I knew about his situation, that in Dortmund he was arriving late to training.

"I also arrived late at Barça with Johan [Cruyff] as coach and I played every Sunday. There was no problem."
