Real Madrid's fruitless attempts to sign Pablo Torre

FC Barcelona on March 4 announced the signing of Pablo Torre, one of Spanish football’s pearls. The good work from the sports department ended up with a 5m bid accepted by Racing Santander, with variables that could reach 20m. He will sign a deal until June 2026 with a 100m release clause.

Despite the pressure, Alemany was inflexible. He had arguments not to give in. He did not raise the offer because he did not think the situation was dangerous for Barcelona. He had everything locked down with the player. The Catalans offered Torre more years on the deal than Madrid and a detailed career path with Barca B but also the first team dynamic. If his performance is good it won’t take him long to rise.
