Rafinha says he felt insecure and phoned Barcelona over transfers

El futbolista desvela que llamó al Barça desde los Juegos Olímpicos

Se mostró inquieto con tanto fichaje y quería jugar para recuperarse bien

Rafinha has revealed he considered leaving Barcelona but stayed because of the confidence they showed in him. He called them up to find out his position.

“It happened when I was at the Olympic games. When the club signed many players, and I spoke to them because I was going to need a lot of minutes when I returned because I was coming back from injury. They always made it clear they were counting on me,” he told UOL Esporte.

He added “there was no concrete situation where I was going to go. When I came back after the Olympics, the club showed me this confidence in me that I needed and I am very happy for that.”

“I have opportunities in the team because of daily work and because of what I do on the pitch. This has been my best start to a season with Barcelona and I am working hard to keep this regularity.”

Regarding Neymar, he said: “Neymar is a brother that has given me the football. He is a big friend of mine. We are always together, inside and out of the club.”
