No player has ever been named Liga BBVA Player of the Month while playing for Barcelona
Barcelona are yet to have a player named the Liga BBVA Player of Month, despite the Catalan giants winning the league and performing well since the prize was launched two years ago.
Although Luis Enrique's men snared the league title during the current campaign and finished second at the previous time of asking, the only men on Barça's roster to have claimed the award were not at the club when they did so.
Ivan Rakitic received the plaudits in January 2014, while on-loan Celta Vigo man Rafinha managed to earn the prize during the following month.
Real Madrid have had two personnel named Player of the Month, with Karim Benzema winning on one occasion, while star man Cristiano Ronaldo has taken the award twice.
Lionel Messi has never got his hands on the accolade, despite netting 71 league goals in the mere two seasons that the prize has been available to win.
