The defender and Sergi Roberto spoke to the media after the goalless draw against Cadiz

Gerard Pique issued a rallying call after Barcelona drew 0-0 with Cadiz on Thursday to extend their winless run to three games in all competitions.

"I'm not here in the Barça shirt to come second or third," he said in reference to Ronald Koeman's comments that finishing high up the table would be a success this season. "I am here to compete for every trophy."

He added: "I am convinced, despite the start we've made, we will compete. The team's motivated. We know fans are with us despite the situation, which is complicated for everyone."

In addition, Pique said that "this club has been riding the crest of a wave for many years and maybe we’re not used to this…It's been a convulsive period, a change of president, coaches...

"We have to do all we can to provide stability. We all want to win. Let’s not look for sides, we can all complain or we can all pull in the same direction. The players are here to pull in the same direction."

Sergi Roberto was on the same page as Pique: "We have to start winning. Here we have to win the league, I won't settle for being in the top four, we're Barça. We have a squad to win it."
