The Brazilian Paulinho Bezerra has today passed his medical ahead of his signing for Barça. The player will sign his contract this morning and be presented as the club’s third summer signing, after Deulofeu and Semedo, at midday.
Paulinho is a strong central midfielder who Valverde hopes will bring something new to Barça because the club doesn’t have “this type of player in the squad”.
The player will be Barça’s fourth most expensive signing ever (currently behind only Neymar, Luis Suárez and Ibrahimovic) and has signed for four seasons.
