The French forward is a target for the second summer running

There was huge excitement when ^hilippe Coutinho signed for Barcelona 18 month ago. He was popular with the fans but there's now disappointment about his performances. There's no going back now and the club are looking to move him on. Selling the Brazilian will allow them to bring in Antoine Griezmann after he famously turned them down last summer. He's now ready to leave Atletico Madrid.

TRANSFER FOR ANTOINE

Griezmann's case is clear. The club have decided the need him and have activated a move for him. His clause right now is 200 million but it will drop to 120 million in July 1. This time things are different. Barça don't want to pay the clause before reaching an agreement with Atletico. The objective is to strike a deal with them and they will listen to offers for the French star.

NEGATIVE BALANCE

The objecitve in the Coutinho case is also set. The club don't want to make a huge loss on what they paid for him (120 million with 40 million in potential add ons). Therefore, they want around 130 million in a fixed fee and add ons. Chelsea are the prime candidate. Eden Hazard will leave for Real Madrid and the club hope a transfer ban will be delayed to allow them to sign this summer.

Coutinho has a great reputation in England, where he played his best football for Liverpool. Chelsea are currently banned from making signings this summer but have appealed for CAS to delay the ban.

BALANCE

Given the Brazilian's performances, it will be tough for the club to get what they want. Barça have never done well as a selling club -- the opposite, in face. In any case, the wheels are moving. Barça want to sign Antoine and to bring him in they want to move on Philippe.
