Barça have given up on making any more signings

Coutinho and Di Maria were targets on Friday night

It's been a busy final day of the transfer window at Camp Nou. But after the umpteenth 'no' from Liverpool to Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho interest and a last ditch attempt to sign Angel Di Maria, the club will not sign any more players.

Therefore, they close the summer without another signing, despite Robert Fernandez suggesting one or two more players would arrive this week.

It means they go into the season with the signings of Nelson Semedo, Paulinho, Ousmane Dembele and Gerard Deulofeu in the first team squad.

In total, they have spent 30 million euros plus variables on Semedo, 40 million on Paulinho, 105 million plus variables on Dembele and 12 million on re-signing Deulofeu. Having also sold Neymar to PSG for 222 million, they end the market having made money.

However, they have not managed to sign a creative midfielder, despite moves for Marco Verratti, Coutinho and Di Maria.
