The first option is to convince Dembele to join PSG and the other, if that fails, increasing the cash amount being offered

This Friday, Barça and PSG are continuing to explore every option available which would see Neymar complete a sensational return to the Camp Nou. The initial offer, which was accepted by PSG, of €130m + Todibo + Rakitic + Dembele (on loan) is considered 'dead in the water' after the French forward refused to make the move to Paris.

Right now, Barça are trying to convince Dembele that it would be a wiser move to join PSG as he wouldn't get as much playing time at the Camp Nou this season. Plus the fact it's only a loan move would mean the door isn't closed for Dembele to return a better, more mature footballer and continue fighting for his Barça dream in 2020.

However, his current refusal has forced the club into searching for alternative options. If Dembele doesn't go, Barça would need to increase the cash on offer from €130m.

According to SPORT's sources, the conversations between PSG and Barça remain ongoing as both are desperate to conclude the transfer with enough time to get their squads in order before the 2nd September deadline. This is in stark contrast to the beginning of the window when PSG refused to discuss anything with the Josep Maria Bartomeu. Right now, there's cautious optimism about a deal being completed.
