Napoli looking at Barca defender Clement Lenglet

Napoli are looking for a new centre-back and have turned their attention to FC Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet, who is not in Xavi Hernandez's plans for next season. The reigning Italian champions have lost Kim Min-jae to Bayern Munich and another of their targets, Kevin Danso, has been re-signed by Lens. According to '90MIN', he is their top priority.

So they have set their sights on Lenglet, a solid defender, still young and who last season played on loan at Tottenham and was at a good level. Lenglet is on the market because Barca have the defence very well covered and the player does not have the confidence of Xavi Hernandez.

The main problem to sign the player is the economic conditions that Barça want, which are around 15 million euros, and at the same time to maintain the high salary of the player.

Lenglet's desire is to continue playing for the London club and Barça have been in negotiations with them but have not reached an agreement on the sale price. Tottenham do not want to reach the 15 million demanded.

The team that has put on the table the amount that Barça are asking for is Al-Nassr but Lenglet does not want to go to the Saudi League because he prefers to stay in Europe.

Napoli could be a very good destination for the centre-back as they are a competitive team, Italian champions and will be playing in the Champions League next season. If they are unable to sign Lenglet, the Italians will try to sign Max Kilman, who plays for Wolves in the Premier League.
