Midfielder Pedri wins best Barcelona goal of the 2022 calendar year
Pedri beat off competition from... himself and Jordi Alba to take the award
Pedri's strike against Sevilla at Camp Nou on April 3 has been chosen as Barcelona's best goal of the 2022 calendar year following a vote by supporters.
After dummying two Sevilla defenders, the midfielder produced an effort that proved impossible for Bono, shining at the World Cup with Morocco, to save. It also earned Barça the three points.
18,742 Barça fans took part in the vote -- many from Spain, the USA, Poland and Mexico -- with 5.067 voting for that Pedri goal. 3,543 voted for another Pedri goal, his effort against Galatasaray in the Europa League, which took silver.
The bronze went to Jordi Alba for his spectacular volley in the win against Atletico Madrid.
Pedri's goal against Sevilla is no stranger to winning prizes -- it was first in a top 10 of the 21-22 season published by La Liga on their Youtube channel published in July.
