Maxi Biancucchi believes it is better for Barça to sell him now rather than lose him on a free transfer next summer

Lionel Messi's cousin, Maxi Biancucchi, has given his opinion on Messi's situation at FC Barcelona in an interview with 'Radio Continental'. Biancucchi admits he never thought this day would come but that Leo is unhappy and wants a new challenge.

"Leo needs to find a place where he can be happy. He's leaving because he isn't happy and wants a new challenge. That's his right," Biancucchi said. "From what I've read, he's under contract until next year. If we analyse the situation, it should be seen as positive that he leaves because the club would get some money and he wouldn't leave for nothing. You have to respect how he feels."

Biancucchi is surprised that this day has come. "I never thought he would leave Barça. I'd like to see him on a team that plays good football. Of all the teams he's linked with, I think Manchester City would be a great fit. Then there's PSG too, but let's wait and see what happens. I just want, wherever he goes, that he's happy and he's at peace."
